The ad begins(watch ad below) with a man looking at an old star wars toy, thinking about all the great memories he has connected to Star Wars. It flashes throughout his life to show memories of Halloween costumes, flashlight Light Sabers, birthday parties and moments of make believe with his childhood friends. It really is a powerful commercial. It relates to all those lifelong Star Wars fans that have never grown up at heart. I think it’s safe to say that Star Wars has affected us in very similar ways.

Sony and PlayStation have done a great job by connecting with our emotions and connecting with our inner child. It really focuses on promoting this game through nostalgia and in my opinion, they absolutely nailed it. They have everyone flashing back to their own childhood and remembering moments when Star Wars influenced their life. By the end of the commercial, I was left with the desire to relive all of my past Star Wars memories.

It truly communicates that Battlefront will be one most exciting and entertaining Star Wars games that has come out in years. Most people will tell you regarding games in the past, that there has been something missing. Battlefront restored hope with all the new features and abilities in gameplay. They really focus on the differences that this game has compared to those in the past. Some highlights of the game are that you can play with the iconic characters as well as fight on the ground and/or in the air. They are out to prove that this game will be the most immersive game you have ever played. This is the perfect game for all the wannabe Jedi and Padawans out there.

The whole purpose of this commercial is to remind us of a happier time when all we cared about “who” we are going to pretend to be that day. It’s truly a great commercial, better than any other game being advertised. Watch and see, Star Wars Battlefront will be listed as the best game of the year, no doubt.
